Ruby Vidor: My name is Ruby Vidor. I’m a singer-songwriter-producer based in London. I make…I don’t even know how to describe my music. I think I’m on a journey of discovering what kind of music I make but it’s really a pop love child of soul and folk with a love of storytelling, ethereal music to make you feel like you’re in a different world. An ethereal place but you’re also grounded at the same time.

Selma Tabti (interviewer): You told me you were considering yourself as a poet and a bard, do you mind telling me more about it ?
Mary Eckert: Lyrics have always really been important to me. They are the most important, even when I am listening to other people’s music. I can’t listen to something I don’t like the words of. I’ve always been drawn to lyrics : I love English, I love reading and I always loved creative writing at school. I wrote a song called Always too high and I guess the whole point of it is that I wrote a love poem. I’ve ended up writing the lyrics “You’re a sicko with words and I’m just a bard”. I think it unlocked something in my writing: I wanted to delve deeper into having more imagery and double meanings. I ended up being okay with telling everyone that I am a poet, a bard and a lyricist and I truly love the imagery of it.
Kassidy Adams: Hi, I’m Kassidy. If I had to introduce myself, I would say that piano is a big part of my life. I’ve been playing since I was about 14 years-old. I did take lessons when I was 5 years-old, but it was only for a month…by the time I returned to piano in 9th grade, I had to start from scratch, hence why I consider myself self-taught. I feel like piano has been the one thing that I have been the most consistent with. I really love making music, composing and just conveying emotions through my music.
